The RCIA, Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, refers to the process through which adults prepare to become Catholic, be welcomed into Full Communion of the Catholic Church (for those already validly baptized in non-Catholic Christian churches), or complete the Sacraments of Initiation (First Eucharist and/or Confirmation).
